Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports ~ PBiS
Taft Elementary School is proud to be implementing the Positive Behavior Interventions & Support (PBIS) as a school-wide discipline program which includes proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors. Positive behavior support for all students at Taft is implemented in both the classroom and non-classroom areas utilizing Tiger Tickets, weekly students of the week, and other positive reinforcements.
Taft Elementary Early Start - 6th Grade will:
Teach and reinforce positive school behavior to follow school rules
Create a predictable environment and use consistent language, interventions, and consequences
Promote a positive school climate with shared responsibility among all staff
Develop the relationship amongst our school, parents, and the community
Promote a safe environment, responsible learners, and respectful students
